Important Note: At first, I didn’t really enjoy Joshua Tree National Park, but spending a full day here (at my own pace, of course) made me appreciate this park more than before. Named for its native plant (Yucca Brevifoila), Joshua Tree National Park is the perfect outdoor spot for hikers, climbers, and tourists alike.

Great Basin National Park is one of the most underrated national parks in the U.S. Located just off US 50, aka “Loneliest Road in America,” this hidden gem is a MUST especially for those who want to enjoy full solitude and get away from tourists (I know I do!).
After our horrible experience in Wyoming, we left to Salt Lake City to spend a night before heading to Nevada. Along the way, we stopped by Golden Spike National Historic Site since it was really close by. Although the weather was very windy and cloudy, I’m glad we made this stop.
