After sharing my personal story on parents vs. dreams, I felt quite lethargic to say the least so I apologize if I completely disappeared from the Internet world.
Frankly, I was feeling very overwhelmed because I’m moving back to the East Coast again (this time Virginia). This meant I had to confess to my parents and that was something that made me nervous.
Fortunately, they had no problem with me moving out as long as I contact them everyday…so now what?
Well a couple weeks ago, I bought a train ticket, from Los Angeles to Washington D.C., from the Wanderu app. I highly recommend using the app if you’re looking to ride either a train or bus for cheap and also if you’re like me, you tend to book trips AT THE VERY LAST MINUTE.
So now that I am finally headed off to Virginia, you may be wondering, are you going to still update the blog? My answer to you is YES!!! Unfortunately for the vlog, I sold my GoPro (wuh..whaaaaa???) and a whole bunch of other stuff that I don’t need such as books, my old cameras, clothing, etc. which means I won’t be updating my vlog as much.
To relieve the stress of updating my vlog on YouTube, I figure I might as well update my adventures through Instagram and try to learn how to use it before I leave (🎶 if you’re a social media noob and you know it clap your hands 🎶 👏 👏). Speaking of which, I have less than 24 hours before I pack my bags and head off to Union Station for the 4-day Amtrak cross-country trip 😵.
But before that, I also wanted to share my story on what happened before all the stressful last moments of saying goodbye. I finally mustered up some courage and contacted most of my SoCal buddies, asking if they’re free to hang out. Surprisingly, I got plenty of responses back. And I got to chill with some of my friends at a cafe, restaurant, or even at their own place. Some could not make it unfortunately.
Also, I announced on Facebook that I was stoked to visit the East Coast again. I got plenty of responses from friends who live in the East Coast, saying I should come visit them. I even had a friend who lives up in New York whom I’ve been wanting to visit for so long. I’m happy to say,
“I’m heading to New York!!! Finally!!!”
The real question is, when?
I haven’t come up with a plan yet, but it will most likely be during the month of either November or December.
And since I’m going to be in New York in the near future, that means I’m going to make stops in Washington D.C., Maryland, Pennsylvannia, and New Jersey.
Also, I have another upcoming travel plan. I miss North Carolina, like A LOT! I miss they’re mildly, humid weather and the kind, hospitable folks out there. So I’m also happy to say that I will be returning to Asheville and possibly the Nantahala Gorge, maybe either during the summer or early fall.
And lastly, I have another upcoming trip. I’m pretty indecisive at the moment, but I’m thinking of heading back to Mexico again. Instead of Ensenada (last year), I’m leaning towards Mexico City. My next country I’m thinking of going to is still in the works, but it’s either Central America or Asia.
Where do you think I should go? 🤔
And a bonus, I want to know, what are your upcoming travel plans? And if you don’t have any right now, where do you want to go in the future? I’m very curious to know 😊.
